The casting roster for Avengers: Secret Wars is expanding, with exciting news about a returning star from the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday.

In a recent conversation with People, Simu Liu, who is set to reprise his role as Shang-Chi in Avengers: Doomsday, confirmed that he will also return for Avengers: Secret Wars. "I think the more immediate tease is of course, Avengers: Doomsday, which is coming out next year. I was fortunate to be part of it and will have the privilege of continuing that journey into Secret Wars," he remarked.
Filming for Avengers: Doomsday wrapped up in September 2025, with additional photography planned for this spring. The main shooting for Avengers: Secret Wars is scheduled to commence in the summer, further ramping up excitement for fans.
With Shang-Chi now officially part of the Avengers: Secret Wars cast, he joins a growing list of confirmed actors. Notably, Robert Downey Jr. will make his much-anticipated debut as Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday and will also return for this Phase 6 finale.
Letitia Wright, speaking to ScreenRant's Liam Crowley in December 2025, revealed that her character, Shuri, also known as Black Panther, will appear in Avengers: Secret Wars. Shouting out Channing Tatum, he’s truly one of my favorite people. Working with him was phenomenal, both on and off the set; he’s an admirable individual."
