College Students Earn Class Credit by Working at the Super Bowl! | Nichols College NFL Partnership (2026)

Imagine being able to attend the Super Bowl and earn college credit at the same time—sounds incredible, right? That’s exactly what a group of students from Massachusetts is about to experience as they prepare for the big game. Robert Dwyer shared his excitement, stating, "After the game on Sunday, my phone was getting blown up." Sofia Calabro echoed this sentiment, expressing her belief that it’s truly an "opportunity of a lifetime."

This once-in-a-lifetime event is especially significant for the students of Nichols College, who are gearing up for a trip to California next week to participate in the Super Bowl. Orick Kelley emphasized their uniqueness, noting, "No other school in this area is doing stuff like this."

This marks the fifth consecutive year that Nichols has teamed up with the NFL to offer a three-credit course known as the Super Bowl Practicum. Through this program, sports management students will engage in a weeklong fan festival and contribute to stadium operations on game day itself.

Christopher Streeter, an assistant professor of sports management, articulated the goal of this initiative: "We want this to be a resume builder for them. For me, we really want to inspire them." This sentiment resonates strongly with Anna Dziecinny, a student who remarked, "But being a woman in sports, this is a really big step for me, personally, and just to show in the sport industry what we can do and how we can get out there."

While each of the 17 students has their personal motivations for taking part in this event, the thrill of working at a Super Bowl, particularly with the Patriots competing, adds to the excitement. Streeter noted the heightened enthusiasm amongst family, friends, and on campus, stating, "There’s a little bit more excitement than usual. But our students are professionals. They'll do their job and be able to cheer the Patriots on at the same time."

Is it inspiring to see educational institutions finding innovative ways to blend real-world experiences with academic learning? What do you think about the role of such opportunities in shaping future careers? Share your thoughts in the comments!
