Sean McVay Leaves Davante Adams’ availability vs. Seahawks in Week 16: Still Up in the Air
Ahead of Thursday night action, the Rams’ big Week 16 showdown with Seattle isn’t shaping up as a sure thing for Davante Adams. Yet head coach Sean McVay stopped short of officially ruling him out after L.A.’s win over Detroit.
In his postgame remarks, McVay explained that Adams had aggravated the same hamstring issue that caused him to miss two practices earlier in the week. Adams left the game in the fourth quarter on a deep third-down route, after attempting to push through the injury.
“We’ll see. He was optimistic when he spoke with me. He knows his body very well,” McVay said during his press conference. “I can’t imagine that’s ideal with only a short turnaround to Thursday, but I wouldn’t rule him out completely just yet. It didn’t look good.”
Adams finished the contest with four catches for 71 yards. He entered the weekend leading the league with 14 touchdown receptions.
