Oxenhope's Millennium Green Could Soon Get a Food Truck
A village green in Oxenhope might soon be home to a food truck offering visitors a variety of food and drink. The proposal has been submitted to Bradford Council, with a decision expected in January.
The public park and recreation space, known as Oxenhope Millennium Green, opened in 2000 on reclaimed washland and is situated within the Oxenhope Station Road Conservation Area. The application, submitted by Rachel Coe, suggests that the food truck will introduce a modern feature to the green, enhancing its social and economic vitality.
Coe's proposal states, 'The introduction of a catering trailer will deliver a clear community facility, increasing local activity and visitor engagement with the Millennium Green. This will outweigh any limited adverse impact, and the applicants intend this to be a short-term measure to start their business. The long-term goal is to find premises within the village and have a cafe.'
