'Áine had no more health issues until she woke with a dreadful headache in early March'. She took paracetamol and an eye mask, thinking it was a typical hangover. But the pain intensified, and Áine became unresponsive. A scan revealed a blood clot on her brain, and she was unlikely to survive. 'It all happened so fast'. Kerry and her family gathered to say goodbye, and Áine passed away two days later. 'The doctors told us they believed her contraceptive pill had caused the clot, and it was listed as a contributing factor on her death certificate.'
