Even the goaltender, leaving his post at the opposite end of the ice, joined the fray.

The AAHA has announced that the incident was a 'staged fight' and that they plan to take disciplinary action. In an official statement, the organization confirmed its awareness of the event. It also mentioned that affiliate, league, and club officials are investigating the matter. Appropriate disciplinary measures will be taken against the players and team officials involved. The AAHA also highlighted that the scrimmage was sanctioned by USA Hockey or the AAHA.
